Indy here we come...Super Bowl Weekend
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Are you ready for some football?
There are always lots of exciting things going on and we are grateful to be a part. And we want you to be a part of them as well, even if you are unable to attend. That's why we bring you all the latest updates during The Greg Davis Morning Show. Next week will be no different.
This weekend is the highly anticipated NFL face-off between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots. We know it as the game celebrated across the country as the Super Bowl. Many of you are making plans to travel far and wide to the great city of Indianapolis or to enjoy family and friends with your own Super Bowl parties. The added bonus: the weather this year has made for an even more exciting event because no matter where you live, it has been rather unseasonably warm. We reached close to 65 degrees a few days ago in The D! Wow! If you attended the Super Bowl last year in Texas you may remember the winter storm, so this break from cold weather and snow storms is quite welcome.
Well, if you have been tuning in this week, you are already aware that the morning show crew will be traveling this weekend to take part in the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration on Friday, February 3rd to kick things off right. We even had a chance to chat with Founder and Executive Producer of the event, Melanie Few-Harrison, president of Results Marketing and Media, Inc. Tune in today as we re-air the interview to hear the history of the event. In it's 13th year, this is the only NFL sanctioned event that is highly anticipated and attended that endeavors to bring gospel artists and NFL players to one arena to celebrate gospel music and provide a platform for players to share their testimonies and showcase their other talents that we don't usually get a chance to learn about.
Lady Nicole and I will be holding it down and representing as we host the red carpet event during the pre-show. Getting things hot and ready for this year's host Rev. Run and co-host CeCe Winans, it is sure to be an exciting event as we all come out in grand style to celebrate gospel music. There will be a special performance by Fantasia, the NFL Player's Choir, Donnie McClurkin, Wes Morgan, Natalie Grant, Hezekiah Walker and several other artists and players.
Don't worry if you can't be there. Check us out next week as we bring the update about the gospel celebration and the artists we had a chance to see and speak with.
Enjoy your weekend and be safe.
From The GDMS crew,
HAPPY SUPER BOWL WEEKEND!
