Trusting God

Nahum 1:7
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Are you really trusting God? We must learn how to totally rely and depend upon God in season and out of season. Fear is the factor that allow us not to trust the Father. Refusal to trust in God is iniquity. Anyone can say that they trust in the Lord, but what about when trouble hits your home? What about when your body is sick or your child is on drugs? Will you still trust him? In the midst of trouble is when you find out if you trust Him. When you don't have enough money to pay your bills, will you still trust the Lord by still giving Him what rightfully belong to Him; tithes and offering? The only way you will know that He's Jehovah Jireh your provider is if you trust in Him.
Understand that God is not trying to take something from us, but He is attempting to stretch our faith to get something to us. Don't only does your giving prove that you trust God, but how you treat and care for people proves if you trust Him. Are you witnessing to sinners and telling them the goodness of Jesus? It is hard to tell someone how wonderful a person is if you do not trust them. It is time to trust the Lord like never than before. All of our help comes from Him. No matter what you are going through remember God is a very present help in the time of trouble, but we must trust Him.
Trust only comes about as a result of relationship. No relationship, no trust. Could it be that you do not have a relationship with God? If you take the time to know Him and know His ways, you won't even listen to the enemy when He tell you to hold back on the tithe, or don't show love to your enemy. Even when you get a bad report, trust Him. God is not like man; he's not up today and down tomorrow, or blessing you today and cursing you tomorrow. We have the ability to keep blessings flowing in our life by doing what we know to do, or we can allow curses to begin to spin.
Psalm 20:7
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

To trust is defined as reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, and surety on a person, place, or thing. It is also confidence, expectation and hope. We must know without a shadow of doubt that God IS. Whatever IS maybe, He IS. It is impossible to trust others when we can't even trust the one whom created us. When you trust in Him, there is nothing that can seperate you from Him. No one will be able to say a thing that will tear you away from Him.
Not only do we need to trust in the Lord, but trust in your spiritual leaders. Whomever God placed in your life to speak into you, you must have a trust for them. If you do not trust your leader, then that's a sure sign that maybe you are in the wrong place. Being connected to a ministry goes well beyond coming on Sundays and getting your praise on and leaving. Your leaders are to give an account for you. They speak into your life and they lead you. How can you follow someone that you don't trust? It is possible to do, but you will only hurt yourself because you will be sceptic and therefore take on a judgmental spirit.
God has been so good to us all. He's never given us a reason to not trust in Him. His word is His word and it is not going to change. Satan will tell you differently. It is so important to know God's word for yourself so that when the enemy tries to enter your mind, you can cast him out. People of God we have no other choice but to trust in the Lord. Everything we do, must be done through faith and the trust we have in God through the result of an intimate relationship with Him.
